The keenness on personal hygiene during the day and before sleeping is among the important matters emphasized by Islamic Sharia. In this hadith, the Prophet (peace be upon him) states, “Whoever sleeps with some grease in his hand,” referring to the remnants of meat, fat, or the like, “and does not wash it, and something harms him,” such as harmful animals or jinn, “he has no one to blame but himself,” because he neglected to fulfill his responsibility and did not care about his own well-being.
